This project was envisioned by Rick Markum during his time with DAVIS, where he championed the efforts of their "reform" group which focused on the repurposing and repositioning of existing real estate assets between 2002 and 2010, prior to this type of work receiving much attention in the Greater Phoenix metro area.

In an effort to update the building facade and upgrade the interior common areas of the building, General Dynamics worked with DAVIS to incorporate a new color pallete for the building that would compliment the surrounding desert landscape while complimenting the existing architecture. A multitude of renderings were generated showing a wide variety of paint colors, glass and other material options.

Once the final colors and materials were selected, the final design intent package was compiled and approved by the City of Scottsdale's Design Review Board.
