While employed at DAVIS, Rick Markum designed the prototype signage for new MidFirst Banks as the company expanded their presence into the Arizona market. The prototype design was incorporated into the site and building signage for the more than 20 branches which have since opened in Arizona. Wherever possible, the designs were incorporated directly into the final design package, but when necessary, the base prototype designs were modified to conform to the sign ordinances of the individual governing municipalities and to accomodate architectural variations dictated by CC&R's governing the individual sites.
